Have I missed any of these? I think I’ve missed some of these. I’ve honestly had trouble keeping track of these last couple months. But for those still interested, here’s what’s been going on.
The King’s City went up, with a book launch (online, of course) organised with help from my mate Paddy, who is a truly amazing human. E-books went live a while back, for those who like their books more digital and portable, Smashwords sells them.
For those who like their books a little more solid and with the ability to kill even the largest spider (seriously, I still can’t get over how hefty these things are), links are still pending, though I’ve started to see things ticking along behind the scenes. I’ve got a box of my own printed copies sitting in the lounge room to fill the pre-orders and obligatory family copies, and that means it’s only a matter of site processing before it shows up on sites that I can link you fine folks to.
As for The Ferryman’s Apprentice, I’m happy to announce that I finally have the cover issues sorted for Part 2! You can pre-order it on Smashwords if you like e-books, or if you want a print copy, they come online on 12 September 2020, and I’ll be providing links on that day. At the moment, I don’t really have a good way to do print book pre-orders, but that’s something I’ll be working on for the next round of books.
Thanks to everyone who’s been so patient with me on the second Ferryman’s Apprentice book. I know it’s been a long time coming, and I’m so happy to finally be releasing it!
I’m also still working on the next serial, and for once I haven’t abandoned the project. But I don’t tend to post things chapter-by-chapter until I’ve at least got a first draft of the whole thing, so I don’t write myself into a corner, so there’s a bit of work to do before I’m going to be able to start posting. I’ve still got short stories coming out in the meantime, though. There should have been one up very recently.
In personal news, I’ve started back at university, doing a Masters, so I’ll be a bit run off my feet for the next couple of months. One of my projects is to create a blog, though. I’ll give it its own announcement post, but know that I’ll also be re-posting some things from that blog to this one (yay, free content), and though I haven’t entirely decided what to do with that blog afterwards yet, I have a couple ideas, so we’ll see how they go. I’ll keep everyone in the loop, because they have the potential to be semi-cool ideas.
And that’s it for now. Hope everyone is staying safe, doing what they can to protect themselves and others. Talk to you next month.
